Analysis: It was Samuelsson's third goal in four games, and fourth overall after signing a three-year, $7.5 million free-agent contract after four seasons in Detroit. "I feel more comfortable each game I play," he said. "Even if I don't score goals I try, like everybody else, to do good things out there. It's not obviously all about goal scoring, but it's nice to see (pucks go in)."

Analysis: The Swedish right wing spent the past four seasons in Detroit, winning the Stanley Cup in 2008 and falling one game short this year. The 32-year-old has 86 goals and 208 points in 466 career NHL games. Samuelsson was also part of Sweden's gold-medal winning team at the 2006 Turin Olympics. He's the third forward to leave the Red Wings this spring. Marian Hossa and Tomas Kopecky signed with the Chicago Blackhawks this week.
