Analysis: Pat McDonough, Babineaux's attorney, said it proved Babineaux acted only in self-defense against the aggressive dog that belonged to the player's girlfriend. McDonough said Babineaux was protecting himself and his 5-month-old child. |

| Feb. 19 1:47 PM PT2:47 PM MT3:47 PM CT4:47 PM ET-Babineaux was arrested by Gwinnett County police on Monday morning and charged with one count of felony animal abuse. Gwinnett County police spokesman Darren Moloney said Babineaux was arrested early Monday. Moloney said he did not know any specifics about the case and a report and details concerning the case would not be released Monday. Analysis: Babineaux played in all 16 games and recorded 28 tackles last season. |
